5 tips on how to help with coral bleaching

1. Wear Sunscreen without oxybenzone, octocrylene, 4MBC, butylparaben and octinoxate.

-Check if your sunscreen contains these harmful chemicals, these specific chemicals

cause stress to the coral reefs and can lead to bleaching.

2. Support reef-friendly businesses

-Check your local beaches and their operators (fisheries, hotels, boats) to see how

they are taking care of the reef.

3. Dispose of trash properly

-Any kind of small or large trash can harm the reef and the fish, keep our seas clean!

4. Practice safe and responsible diving habits

-Do not touch the reef in any way (anchor, hands, feet). Coral are delicate species and

the slightest touch could harm or even kill them.

5. Conserve water

-The less water used the less runoff and wastewater there is to pollute the sea.
